In an earlier blog, I talked about the definition of manifest. Today, I’d like to go a little deeper into the idea of manifesting.

Manifestation 101

When people talk about manifesting something, a large part of the population checks out because they think the topic just got too weird, new-age, granola-head, or something else unflattering.

It’s too bad that so many people write off something that is really very basic: themselves.

For me, manifesting is all about the power of our subconscious to create our reality.

When I became more conscious about how and what I thought, and then changed those thoughts to be more positive, I started getting the things I wanted. It really was that simple.

No advanced degree needed for creating my ideal life. With support from my coaches, I became more aware and changed my thoughts.

“Simple” may not be the right word, while the concept is that easy.

If falling into negative thinking can be habit, conscious positive thinking takes practice. And not the “practice makes perfect” type of practice, but like practicing a religion. This is life-long work.

As life-long work, you are not going to see immediate results. But the really important stuff rarely happens immediately.

Think of it like recuperating and staying fit after an injury. I have a friend with “bad” knees, not because of an injury but because of her body type. Knee pain got in the way of the things she wanted to do. Her doctor said that if she wanted to avoid pain and do the things she wanted to do, she would have to keep her legs strong and fit. So, her legs became her new religion. While my friend’s interests and activities have changed over time, she still keeps her legs strong so that her knees will be able to face whatever she throws at them.

By being conscious and positive with your thoughts, you can have the things you want in life and be prepared to deal with what the world throws at you.

Tell me, what is the first negative thought you are going to consciously change?

I agree awareness of manifestation is so important. Simple yet not easy! The first negative thought I am going to change is my thought of lack around money. I know that when I worry about not making enough money, I manifest a lack of money. So I am working on changing that manifestation. Thank you for the question :)
