What is a Visualization Exercise & How to Visualize

Visualization is a powerful exercise to manifest and create your ideal life.

Visualization Exercise: How to VisualizeFrom vacations to soul mates, your first step is to absolutely, positively, be crystal clear about what you want to visualize and manifest.

To visualize dream vacation, ask yourself:

  • Where are you going?
  • When will you be there?
  • Where will you stay?
  • What will you see?
  • What will you do?
  • Who will you go with?

The more details the better.

To visualize your soulmate, ask yourself:

    • Looks?
    • Education?
    • Economic background?
    • Family experiences?
    • Family goals?
    • What do you talk about?
    • What do you do together?
    • How does that person make you feel?
    • How does that person treat you in public versus at home?
    • Look at all the relationships around you, what’s good, what’s bad, what must you have?

Soul mates can take more soul searching than vacations, but you can manifest either. You can manifest anything — if you KNOW exactly what it is you really want.

The human mind is a wonderful thing. It is also a very complex thing. Did you know that emotion happens in a part of the brain that is purely visual? There is no link between words and emotions, it’s all pictures. Maybe that’s why it can be so hard to describe how we’re feeling.

If you are going to manifest something that you REALLY want, that thing is going to speak to your emotional self, probably more than to your rational self.

So, what does that thing LOOK like?

Make a vision board -– a collage of all the images that describe what you want. This is a great way to use those magazines you’ve been holding onto.

Now, put that vision board somewhere public, a place you look at multiple times a day. And look. SEE your vision. FEEL your vision. And do more than glance. Engage your brain in those pictures for several minutes a day.

Some research shows that moving pictures are even more powerful than stills. You can use a site like Animoto.com and make a movie of what you’re manifesting. Or even just use PowerPoint to make a computer slideshow with motion that you can watch daily.

Remember, the first step of manifesting is to be so clear about what you want that you can see it, feel it, and have emotional responses to it. And then put that picture someplace where you can experience it frequently.

What does your manifestation look like?

I found my husband through visioning. I had dated lots of bad choices for several years. Someone suggested to me that I write out what I am looking for and I realized that I was not choosing men that had those qualities. Thanks for a great piece! I am part of the UBC this month. I am not very committed to it this time around, but it is nice to touch in every now and then and it does help me to stay on track somewhat. Glad I found your blog!
