Take Action, Be Heard in Your Relationships

Home / Love & Relationships / Take Action, Be Heard in Your Relationships

Previously, I defined players as people who take action. Today, let’s look at how players function in relationships.

Do you have a relationship with someone that is not working out well? I am not talking just about romantic relationships; this could be your dental hygienist. Did you leave your last cleaning feeling like your mouth had just been mauled, or did you stop things and ask for a little more sensitivity?

Take Action, Be Heard in Your Relationships Even though that’s probably not the most important relationship you’re interested in fixing, do you feel that people do not listen to you?

A player does more than just say, “You don’t listen to me.” A player speaks up and people listen. You can be polite, gracious, and inoffensive while still demanding the attention you deserve.

In a department meeting or with a significant other, stand up and have your ideas recognized. Being a player requires action.

Please share with me in the comments below, how were you a player and resolved a difficult relationship?
